In my latest TikTok video, I'm showing you how I create a poster design in Affinity Photo. To start, I searched on Pexels featuring a hand with a rosary and quickly found the perfect picture. I began by editing the lighting, contrast, and tonal differences to enhance the aesthetic impact of the praying hand. I wanted it to appear in the background of my typography later on.
Next, I started creating a precise cut-out of the image, completely removing the background. I decided to get rid of the person entirely and focus only on the hand. Afterwards, I opened my document and placed the Hands in the background, filling the entire page.
Then, I moved on to typography. For the word "Prayer," I chose the font "Awaken" because it has a graffiti-style look that adds an interesting element to this section. Originally, I had planned to use a simple sans-serif font for the subtitle but decided to go with the font "Because We Create". For the Next Step, I combined my Text into a Group and started to distort it to my liking with the Liquify Persona.
Then I added some texture that looks like Plastic and put it in the background of the Poster. Then searched for a fitting Psalm and used a Sans Font, after putting the text like I wanted and positioned it slightly downwards in the centre. To complete the design, I added some textures and grain. How do you like the result?
